amsterdam – part 3 is the last post of my series.
random piece of trivia: amsterdam is the home of 4,700 green screeching parakeets. no, i’m not kidding!
i loved this little organic arrangement meant to showcase the lime cucumber ice water. marriott knows how to make one feel welcome!
this is a cute little vintage store in jordaan.
the canals are often lined with floating houses. i have never visited one but i’d love to. or even spend a weekend on one once!
this girl may have the best job in the world. she was reading in the afternoon sun, with a glass of wine, in front of the store. win!
one day, i decided to take the ferry and cross over to amsterdam noord. this is the eye – the film museum. the cool angular building is by delugan meissl architects which also did the porsche museum in stuttgart, among others.
the tower next door is called a’dam toeren or toren overhoeks. it’s getting a facelift and is planned to re-open in april 2016.
a few pictures from the ndsm area. it is known as the ship wharf as well as a quite happening hangout place.
since i took a few daytrips, i found myself inside the central station quite a bit.
the red light district is photogenic, day or night.
i went to another concert. this one was in westerliefde in westerpark. i loved the place, the music and the company!
i hope you enjoyed discovering my 3-part discovery of amsterdam!
