day 6 – noiraigue and chaux de fonds was a very hot day. we decided to spend it in the woods rather than in zurich and it was not a bad idea!
before we left in the morning, the french alps were visible from our neuchatel balcony since the weather was quite clear.
in downtown neuchatel, we ran across a farmers’ market and i just had to take pics. everything looked so cute and colourful!
we took the train to noiraigue and then we set off, following the signs along the way.
the day was getting hotter but the proximity of the river and of the forest helped a lot.
we went through the gorges de l’areuse, which lie between noiraigue and champ du moulin. bellow, you have the beautiful pont du saut de brot.
this footbridge was the one who brought us here. i discovered it online while researching. read more here.
can you spot the girl jumping in the river?
we finally reached boundry. we found the tram and we took it to neuchatel. the last leg of the tram trip was along the lake neuchatel shore.
we had dinner in nearby chaux de fonds. the neuchatel lake is visible in the distance. since the altitude was higher, the temperature was cooler so we had a great time.
my last swiss post is coming soon. the last day in geneva before the flight home. stay tuned!
