i discovered erwin wurm in a mumok show in the autumn of 2006. apart from the fat car and the endless series of one minute sculptures, there was a piece that was really not that usual…it was called house attack and it was a full size house attacking the museum. i remember reading that it was supposed to stand for the mundane life having a go at art. i liked that as much as i liked the rest of his stuff.
i’m sure you heard about him and his very famous one minute sculptures: the red hot chilli peppers did a video, can’t stop, and there’s a small note at the end citing wurm as their inspiration.
what do you think?
