ghent part 2 is the second set of pictures from my short trip.
i love belgium and i love ghent. it’s where i had the space to walk un-bothered for hours and hours and order my thoughts to the rhythm of my steps.
here i was having my lunch: a cardboard box full of delicious pasta. i was a bit hungover and definitely tired after the concert. but i also had absolutely nothing to do and nowhere to be so it was fine.
can you spot roa‘s crow mural on the left?
i like visiting bookstores when i’m away. i rarely leave empty-handed.
bue the warrior is a local street artist. this is his book.
i walked through the damn rain until the water went through all the layers and reached my skin… so i stopped for a piece of cake and tea at s.m.a.k. before i left, the rain had turned into slush and my clothes had barely dried.
i went home, changed into dry clothes and went out to meet my other ghent friend. we went to the opening of a new show of the design museum.
this is the design museum and its new show, hands on design. the grand opening ceremony took place in the neighboring marriott hotel and then all the guests came to see the just opened exhibition. after seeing everything, we found shelter and nibbles in the new patio bar. a very nice evening!
i had the second beer of my life. it was a shared mariage parfait.
i walked home where i chatted away while having some more to drink with my friend. i had just discovered the delicious roomer, a local drink with elderflower petals in it. cheers!
the third and final ghent set comes soon. stay tuned!
