ghent part 3 is the third and last set of pictures. as you can see, the sun made a brief appearance that day.
this was my last day. i walked around the very windy town for hours and hours, it was so good. because of the quite powerful winds and because it was a sunday, there were no people anywhere in sight. perfect!
i love to make friends with all the furry persons i meet. and she was no exception.
my friend told me i should definitely check out this deserted castle. so i went there and i liked it. apparently, the locals are in charge of the place. they keep it clean and they also keep it open for visitors during the weekends.
and then i took a very wrong way home. in purpose. i had a few hours left so i decided to take unknown streets to reach my destination.
here i am at the msk or the museum of fine arts. they have an in-house restaurant, mub’art where i stopped for lunch.
i love this re-purposed roomer bottle.
this was beyond delicious.
the sun came out when i was walking around the millionaire’s quarter.
i came to ghent over-worked and exhausted. i refused to take my laptop along for fear i will end up working. it would have been the 3rd working mini-vacation in a row and i really didn’t want that! i did end up doing a little bit of work after all but it was not so bad. i spent the 4 days walking a lot, sleeping a little, meeting old friends and making new ones, even if i had little to no plans to begin with. so i didn’t come back well-rested but at least i was satisfied and smiling.
this was it, my three perfect days in ghent! i’ll be back soon with pictures from my stay in valencia!
