hotel daniel graz has a motto that says smart luxury for a fair price. this 127 years old hotel is located barely 30 seconds away from the train station. the hotel provides pretty much everything a traveler needs: 107 comfortable rooms, welcoming public spaces and a relaxed atmosphere.
while researching for my recent trip to austria, i came across an interesting hotel in graz. i wrote them an email asking for a tour. the reply came fast and was asking me which one of their three graz hotels i wanted to see. unable to choose, i scheduled 3 visits in graz and one more in vienna, for the sibling hotel in the capital.
hotel daniel graz was the first on the list. i arrived during breakfast time and i was shown the public areas as well as the two kinds of rooms (all rooms have free highspeed wi-fi and rain showers.).
this is one of their smart rooms: bright, with separate toilet and a spacious shower.
the loggia rooms have terraces and bigger beds.
notice how the shower is only separated from the rest of the room by a glass wall. it’s a trend i have noticed in newly redecorated hotels.
beside the colourful, modern decor, this member of design hotels offers a few less usual features. for instance, beside the 24/7 espresso bar in the lobby and the sauna, the hotel welcome pets. i love that!
in the loft, there is a vending machine and a little shop providing many of the things that you may need, such as a white shirt, flip flops or an umbrella. they are also selling their own brand of bee honey!
moreover, they have 5 vespas, 4 e-bikeboards and 1 cute 3-wheeled ape calessino that you can rent to discover the town.
find out everything about the hotel by following its website, facebook, google+ and blog.
