LONDON 2016 PART 3

london 2016 part 3 is the last batch of pics from my recent trip.

on may 1st, the people were enjoying a boat festival on a very sunny day.

here, we are half way from hampstead heath to little venice.

i liked this little cafe-restaurant right above the canal.

the boat festival was quite popular and fun. we loved it!

the internet says it was called the canal cavalcade and that it gathered approximately 130 canal boats.

i really liked this canal stretch coming all the way to the middle of this residential area. there were ducks and even a swan: i loved it!

we’re back in shoreditch here and this is a roa piece.

we had some early dinner at the tramshed. although maybe hard to believe, there is a contemporary art piece in the middle of the hall. it is by damien hirst and it’s called cock and bull. it’s a hint that the menu of this place focuses on beef and poultry. dinner was great, no complaints. they also have an art gallery in the basement but it was closed when we were there.

we spent our last few days in surbiton, a suburb in the south-west of london.

we walked along the thames and i’m pretty sure at least half of the pictures are taken in neighboring kingston upon thames.

wow! because humans are big and strong and whoever bothers them will be declared undesired… so sad. this sounds a lot like those laws in the us making it illegal to feed the homeless or to simply sit down on the sidewalk…

we spent our last day visiting the kew gardens. i have been meaning to go for a while but, since it’s quite out of the way, i’ve always postponed doing it. the time has come and i loved it. i will actually post a separate dedicated post.
