london marriott grosvenor square was my home away from home during my recent trip to london.
located within walking distance from the hyde park, oxford street and park lane, this 5-star mayfair hotel is a great choice for the discerning guest who enjoys classic luxury. the convenient west end location means the closeness to a wide range of world class restaurants, high end shopping and other londonese attractions.
i was given a tour of the hotel, so i can present you three types of rooms. first, the wonderful balcony suite. if you are lodged there, you will be able to take advantage of the suite’s private balcony overlooking the secret garden. both the room and the balcony have fireplaces. also, i was told that larger parties prefer to occupy all the rooms around the garden and have private cocktails outisde. a wonderful idea!
next, there’s the beautiful park view room.
and the deluxe room, the one i occupied with my colleague.
in the basement, beside a game room, an executive lounge and a gym, you will find an award-winning bar inspired by the 1920’s called the luggage room.
the two in-house restaurants are run by none other than superstar chef gordon ramsay. both have michelin stars: maze (the a la carte menu and the more affordable set menu) and maze grill (a la carte menu).
for further dining options, the ivy, nobu and several other michelin-starred restaurants are within walking distance.
