malmo and copenhagen in valencia are two sibling vegetarian restaurants. i was there recently and i’d say you’d like either one. check it!
the restaurants have the same owners. also, they are both situated in valencia’s cool neighborhood of ruzafa.
on the other hand, they have shared cuisine and decor. you know, vegetarian dishes and cool, clean scandinavian lines.
copenhagen is located on 8 literato azorin street, very close to the mercado de ruzafa. it offers mediteranean cuisine with japanese and thai influences. it’s closed on mondays and they offer menu of the day.
malmo is close to copenhagen (just like in real life. haha)! well, the second restaurant is only 5 minutes away from copenhagen, on 46 sueca street. they do vegetarian and vegan. they are closed on sundays and they only do diner on tuesdays and on wednesdays. they also have menu of the day.
we dined at malmo last monday. we ordered the two kinds of veggie burgers and a gorgonzola appetizer. the burgers came with a delicious side dish (either cucumber soup or cous cous with dry fruit). the service and the wine were great. the atmosphere was pleasantly soothing, perfect after a tiresome day of exploring the city.
we were the first guests so we had the whole place to ourselves. but the restaurant filled up gradually. the spanish generally have their meals later than the rest of the world. it’s a fact!
