pistolet original in bruxelles is the perfect pit stop for a belgian snack.
the pistolet is a belgian oval bun. at pistolet original, you can get buns with many different fillings. you can go savory as well as sweet. they’re the perfect size to eat on the spot or to take away.
we had just walked past the notre dame de la chapelle church and its adjoining stef antiek. we were looking for a place to get a snack. when i saw the red elements of the facade, i knew i had found the place.
i liked the white and red theme of the interior. i liked the blackboards with the menu and the selected grocery goodies one can take home. we had our pistolets, took pictures of the place and left. i recommended it!
we chose to have our dessert elsewhere, and it was a good decision. if you walk a little to un oiseau place, you have a few world class chocolatiers just waiting for your order. we shared a stracciatella icecream at belvas and a chocolate cake at pierre marcolini. delicious!
