BOOKS
1. i only managed to finish china rich girlfriend and rich people problems by kevin kwan when i went to the beach.
the trilogy is the perfect easy read. i occasionally got lost in the many characters, but it was compelling enough to read the whole 1,500 pages. my favourite aspect was the asia-centrism.
MAGAZINES
2. my favourite article in the current british vogue issue? the last page: what would roksanda ilincic do.
MUSIC
3. my obsession with herr kunstler is still going strong.
4. i got disintegration when i was 15. it was the second album i had ever bought. it was on a turkish copied cassette bought from a random shop. over 30 years have passed and the feeling is the same!
5. suede is touring and they will stop in porto in 2026. i might buy a ticket.
6. idles released the full caught stealing soundtrack. rabbit run is still my favourite.
7. i forgot this banger. i hope brody is well.
i’ve been listening to some seu jorge recs. all brazilian, of course.
8. i started with livro by caetano veloso. manhattan was my favourite.
9. canta canta minha gente by martinho da vila is a classic.
10. and so is jorge ben samba’s esquema novo from 1963.
11. fontaines dc brings a young fan onstage to play guitar with them. grian even changes the lyrics for him (see 1:48). heart warming!
12. i love the weird versions they did during this tiny desk in chicago. nabokov was the only electric one and it blew the fuse in the building!
13. re-listening felt mountain by goldfrapp felt like re-visiting the 2000s!

16. i didn’t know john malkovitch was such a clothes horse.

18. little simz went on louis theroux’ podcast. this is just a teaser. i listened to the whole thing on spotify.

19. sorda is a family affair. miriam garlo is the main actress and eva liberdad is her sister and director.
