some kind of making of is a selection of 20 pictures i took yesterday. i was out in the city making a little film with a new friend. the film is going to be called my secret bucharest.
i like my home town of bucharest. it may not be the best, but it’s ok. as with anything else, focusing on the positive helps. and the city has an increasing number of cool places and interesting people. so i believe that liking it is easier than ever.
a while ago i found this guy on the internet. a barcelona-based romanian skater making a living modelling, shooting videos and working leather. i started following him and we ended up talking. at some point, we started discussing about making a short about bucharest, which is also his home town. we both loved the idea and couldn’t wait to make the project happen.
although we had discussed the shooting for months, the d day ended up being the hottest of the year. about 38 degrees. when we met at 8 am, it was fine. but it got less and less fun as the sun got stronger. the 16 hour day we spent in that alien heat proved to be draining. but it had to be done and we enjoyed doing it. we met many of my favourite people and toured our home town. we couldn’t complain!
this is just a heads up. we had about 20 locations and i think less than half are featured here. it’s not even a teaser or a trailer. those will come when the time is right. stay tuned for more!

Looks really nice! These places are not getting the kind of ‘media coverage’ they deserve. But it’s OK: the right people know about them! 🙂
Can’t wait for the result on ‘tape’!
Nice work!
