i noticed i took a lot of pictures of the sky, which is unusual for me. but i just liked how all the buildings looked on the blue background.

can you spot the conservatory? yes, it’s the narrow building in the corner.

these are the torres de serranos and are one of the original 12 such gates that were part of the city walls. they were used as a prison at some point in time. nowadays, they serve for the opening of official ceremonies such as the fallas, among others.

i can never get over the variety and high quality of the street art in this city. i love it!

this is the very cool centre del carme which i found by chance. i liked the tapas – spanish design for food exhibition and the patio!

this is a recent find. it’s called patatas a lo pobre con huevo y hamon and it’s delicious.

by total chance, we were able to visit part of the catedral de valencia. it was free and, more importantly, there was no line! we went around and even stayed to listen to part of a nice man’s story of the holy chalice. that is the glass used by jesus during the last supper. both the story and the cathedral are interesting especially if you are into that kind of thing.

we always stop to see the dogs getting a make over here. most of them are interested to interact.
