vika gazinskaya is a russian designer who lives and shows in paris.

her line is a modern, witty take on 50s style and is available in colette (where some of the pieces are sold out, in spite of the rather steep prices). click here to check out her s/s 2012 collection. she finds inspiration in the works of rem koolhaas, alberto giacometti, russian constructivist architect konstantin melnikov, and of cristobal balenciaga. here is vika presenting her latest collection at boutiquen, in kuweit (if i’m not mistaken)

if this reminds you of ysl a/w 2008, it’s because they say she inspired the look

but vika is famous first and foremost for her personal style, for being part of the so-called russian pack and for being miroslava duma‘s bff.

both are wearing vika’s creations

i intend to keep up to date with all vika’s undertakings by watching her tumblr.

vika’s style vocabulary is wide and full of wonderful surprises!
