vogue japan november 2014 is the gift i got from a pair of siblings who have just got back from japan. it was for helping them plan their 2-week trip. thank you! vogue japan november 2014 when you read this review, remember that i have zero knowledge of japanese. i considered for a second not doing it. but the issue is too good to pass up. even without the words!

the issue marks the 15th anniversary of the japanese edition. it has a vogue fashion night’s out supplement for the event that took place in osaka.

you probably know that the 4th cover is where all the reading starts. the cover girl is miranda kerr. the cover story shows her in various japanese costumes: geisha, samurai, etc. the cover is actually a 3-page centerfold.

the theme of the issue is obssession and it is included in all the 9 editorials. they are all shot by mario testino. i loved the street style obssession editorial styled by anna dello russo. vogue japan november 2014 5 vogue japan november 2014 1 vogue japan november 2014 2 vogue japan november 2014 3 vogue japan november 2014 4 the comme des garcons obssession is also good. i fell in love with a skirt! vogue japan november 2014 6 vogue japan november 2014 7 vogue japan november 2014 8 as far as the ads go, i notice just how few japanese or asian girls are featured. isn’t that weird? the brand and piece selection is half, half though. and the foreign brands featured fit the japanese style. vogue japan november 2014 12 * a photographer’s profile, meet ayumi sakamoto.

* what do you think of this neoprene 2 piece by saphir east? vogue japan november 2014 10 * an alien collaboration: check out the lamarck x maiko takeda bag. vogue japan november 2014 9 * silve foil pants by taro horiuchi. i couldn’t find that pic so i used this one as a reference. vogue japan november 2014 13 * cyberesque pieces can be found at baby doll tokyo. vogue japan november 2014 11 * a few more interesting tokyo stores: fake tokyo, sister and laila.

* a profile of japanese film and a profile of actor yusuke iseya. vogue japan november 2014 14

i miss tokyo so much that i tore dozens of pages from this magazine. expect them on my mood board. soon!
